At Apple Dental Center, our doctors and staff work together as a team to provide comprehensive dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Many members of our team have been with the practice for many years, bringing experience and continuity to the care we provide our patients.
Our Doctors
Farhad Mazi, D.D.S.
Dr. Mazi is the owner of Apple Dental Center. He established Apple Dental Center in 2001 and has been caring for patients in the Apple Valley community ever since. His passion for dentistry stems largely from the positive energy he receives from his patients and his knowledgeable staff.
Dr. Mazi earned his D.D.S. degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He is fluent in English, Italian, and Farsi, and can also speak some Spanish. His experience, caring personality, dedication, and understanding of today’s dental technology allow Dr. Mazi and his associates to provide comprehensive, modern dental care to their patients.
Dr. Mazi is inspired by leading a team that shares his commitment to patient care. The ongoing goal at Apple Dental Center is to provide patients with the highest degree of care while taking into consideration not only their dental needs, but also their individual lifestyles, financial situations, and emotional needs.

Cecilia Yang, D.D.S.
Dr. Cecilia Yang joined the practice in 2009. She graduated from Shanghai University in China in 1984 and has been practicing dentistry for more than four decades.
Dr. Yang is a general dentist who takes pride in knowing that she does her absolute best for her patients every day. She is dedicated to her patients and takes the time to ensure they understand their dental health and what they can do to prevent tooth decay and damage.
Dr. Yang has completed numerous continuing education courses, including courses in aesthetic dentistry, periodontics, and pediatric dentistry. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.

Sonia Mikhail, D.D.S.
Dr. Sonia Mikhail joined Apple Dental Center in 2019. She has been practicing dentistry in Southern California since 2004. She is very personable and friendly, and always has a smile on her face. Dr. Sonia is proficient in root canal treatment and enjoys performing it, along with many other dental procedures.
Dr. Sonia earned her dental degree from Tanta University in Tanta, Egypt, in 1984. She is fluent in English, Arabic, and French, and speaks some Spanish. She is a general dentist who has completed numerous continuing education courses in advanced procedures, including esthetic dentistry, periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry.

Office Management & Front Office
Laurie, RDAEF, CDA — Office Manager
Laurie has been part of the practice since 1997, when she began working with Dr. Mazi’s father. When Dr. Mazi opened Apple Dental Center in its current location in 2001 after graduating from dental school, Laurie continued with the practice and has been an integral part of the team ever since.
With decades of experience in the practice, Laurie oversees many aspects of the day-to-day operation of the office. Her responsibilities include practice administration, claims management and accounts receivable, payroll, hiring and onboarding, staff training, development and maintenance of office policies and procedures, management of dental insurance plans and computer systems, IT coordination, communications, website and social media management, and patient reviews.
She also works closely with the doctors and staff to help ensure that the practice operates efficiently and that patients receive the assistance they need throughout their care.

Staysy
Practice Administrator / Front Office Supervisor
Staysy has been part of the Apple Dental Center team since 2011 and serves as our Front Office Supervisor. She oversees many of the day-to-day front-office responsibilities, including posting charges and preparing dental claims for billing.

Diana L.
Practice Administrator / Patient & Treatment Coordinator
Diana joined Apple Dental Center in 2023 and works closely with patients throughout the checkout and treatment planning process. She assists patients with copayments and treatment estimates, contacts patients when laboratory cases or treatment authorizations are ready, follows up on outstanding authorizations, and helps respond to patient calls and messages.

Diana R. (aka Laura)
Practice Administrator / Insurance & Records Coordinator
Diana joined Apple Dental Center in 2024 and helps prepare the office for the following day’s patients. Her responsibilities include verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, preparing patient charts, and maintaining our records and filing system.

Clinical Team
Our clinical team works closely with all three of our doctors and assists with a wide range of dental procedures and patient care. Their responsibilities include chairside assisting, digital X-rays, coronal polishing, sterilization, digital scanning for laboratory procedures, and other daily clinical responsibilities.
Our Registered Dental Assistants in Extended Functions (RDAEFs) also perform expanded clinical procedures, including certain restorative procedures and crown cementation. Our clinical team is also experienced in denture-related services, including denture repairs, relines, and preparation of wax rims.
Our clinical staff share daily responsibilities through a rotating system, helping keep the clinical area organized and the office running smoothly.
Nonpareil, RDA
Dental Team / Inventory Specialist
Nonpareil has been part of the Apple Dental Center team since 2014. In addition to her clinical responsibilities as a Registered Dental Assistant, she serves as our Inventory Specialist, helping manage and maintain the dental supplies and materials used throughout the practice.
Mariah, RDA
Dental Team
Mariah has been part of the Apple Dental Center team since 2017. She works with all three of our doctors and also helps coordinate digital scan cases sent to our dental laboratories.
April, RDAEF
Dental Team
April has been part of the Apple Dental Center team since 2017. As an RDAEF, she assists with expanded clinical procedures, including certain restorative procedures and crown cementation, in addition to her other clinical responsibilities.

Almira, RDA
Back Office Supervisor
Almira has been part of the Apple Dental Center team since 2019. In addition to her clinical responsibilities as a Registered Dental Assistant, she serves as our Back Office Supervisor and helps coordinate the clinical team and daily back-office operations.

Gustavo has been part of the Apple Dental Center team since 2021. As an RDAEF, he assists with expanded clinical procedures, including certain restorative procedures and crown cementation, in addition to the many other responsibilities of our clinical team.

Jaden joined Apple Dental Center in 2026 and is the newest member of our clinical team. He works with our doctors and assists with patient care and the daily responsibilities of the clinical office.
